SpaceX Big Falcon Rocket has a new design once again

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, during an event of announcing the first passenger who will be flying on the Big Falcon Rocket, announced that BFR’s designed has been changed once again. This is the third time since 2016 that BFR’s design has changed. SpaceX has shown a new display of the SpaceX BFR spaceship. It has now a three large mini-wings (fins) and a dark heat shield along the belly. And also the new BFR design has seven Raptor engines instead of six. As far as one knows, there is also a room for cargo at the bottom of the rocket.

The rocket’s potential has changed completely. Musk states that once the rocket gets complete, it would be having the potential to take up to 100 tons of weight all the way to Mars.  The new design brings a third fin at the bottom of the rocket to provide space. The spaceship’s three landing legs will help to expand from the tips of these fins. After getting complete, it’s going to be one huge rocket reaching a height of around 387 feet. The new SpaceX design can offer a combined 5,400 tons of pressure.

Altogether, the BFR is a combined form of a giant rocket booster and a big cargo spaceship. That is called as the Big Falcon Spaceship (BFS). It can hold up to 100 of passengers very comfortably. Both of them are allowed to do powered landings by using their engines to lower down the earth surface. Elon Musk says that the vehicle can wander all over the Solar Sytem. He also said, “If you have propellant depot on Mars, you’ll be able to get Mars to the asteroid belt to the moons of Jupiter and kind of like planet moon-hop all the way to the outer Solar System.” He futher added that, “BFR is intended as an interpalnetry transport system capable of getting from Earth to anywhere in the Solar System.”

As of now, SpaceX is currently developing the BFR at the Port of Los Angeles near the company’s headquarters in Hawthrone, California.
