Women in Data Science Conference India 2019 is an unique conference taking place in Pune on 23rd March 2019. The conference is a one-day event with a lot of interesting topics and interesting people in one place under one roof.
The event begins at 08:00 in the morning with breakfast followed by Speed Networking. After the Speed Networking session, the conference will proceed towards the Inauguration function at 9. The function will be followed by the session on “Democratizing AI” by Dr. Rohini Srivathsa, CTO, Microsoft India.
Dr. Rohini Srivathsa
Dr. Rohini Srivathsa has an experience of over 25 years with many big shot companies of the market. She has recently joined Microsoft India and is the National Technology Officer at the place. She is responsible for driving the digital transformation across industry and government. Before Microsoft, she has worked with Fidelity Investments as Vice president there. She began her career at R&D AT&T Bell laboratories.

Akanksha Balani is the Country lead , IAGS, DPD Intel. she has built a number of developer and data scientist related programs like code modernization workshops, software developer conferences and much more. She has managed to bring over 100,000 developers in the wake of parallel programming in the past 15 years.

“fashionAIble: A spotlight on AI for fashion” by Dr. Manasi Patwardhan, TCS Research. After this Ujjyaini Mitra, Zee5 will talk on “When Do You Love an Advertisement?”
Ujjyaini Mitra is Analyst and Data Science Leader at Zee5. She has had around 12 years of experience in establishing data as a culture with various companies where she has helped companies in Data-Driven decisions for their development.
After this Snigdha Gupta from Wavemaker will take over the stage for “CriXence- A peek in the future- ML in cricket”.
Snigdha Gupta is the head of analytics and data science practice at wavemaker. She is an analytics professional and a predictive analytics expert with over a decade experience in the field of retail, CPG, finance, hospitality and telecom sectors. In her talk, she explains in detail models built and deployed for cricketing activity.
After Snigdha Gupta’s talk, there will be lunch break @ 1.15 followed by group activities with the audience.
Post lunch session is “Data Science for better CX @ Uber” by Vidhya Duthaluru, Uber.
Vidhya Duthaluru is the Director, engineering at Uber. She holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering and is a specialist in Speech Recognition and Natural Language Understanding Technologies and has worked in the same for over 2 decades.
She will be followed by Ex-Zomato employee Nikita Malhotra. Who will be speaking on “Personalization of taste bud.”
Nikita Malhotra is a statistician who is passionate about leveraging data science for mining meaningful information for business. She has worked in various business industries that include BFSI, edutech, e-commerce, aviation, telecom, and food tech.
This will be followed by “AI to Combat Antimicrobial Resistance” by Dr. Seema Singh, circle of life talk on Healthcare.
Last 2 sessions of the conference are Panel discussions “Journeys, experiences, Lessons, stories from Early adopters of Data science”, & “Upskilling, Careers and Career paths in Data Science”.The conference will be summarized by Valedictory, Awards, Prize distributions, Photo Sessions”.
