MWC 2018, Barcelona is three weeks ahead and we have already heard so many rumours about new and upcoming devices to be launched at MWC.
Xiaomi is also in this race and is rumoured to be in the development of the Mi Mix 2s, the upgraded version of last year’s Mi Mix 2.
After the official announcement of the partnership between Xiaomi and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 last month, Mi Mix 2s will be the first Xiaomi smartphone to have the processor, initially it was supposed to be installed in Mi 7, another new flagship that is not likely to debut at MWC.
A latest report from a Chinese blog also says that “Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s won’t just be the company’s first but also the world’s first smartphone with a snapdragon 845 SoC.
Xiaomi is likely to upgrade the camera with a Sony IMX363 camera sensor, equipped with a dual-pixel auto-focus technology to deliver enhanced night image results.
The design is rumoured to be similar as iPhoneX, and the Snapdragon 845 will have an on-device artificial-intelligence (AI) functionality that could result in features such as facial recognition.
As far as the prices are concerned it is predicted to be between (Rs.39,000 – Rs. 42000). It is speculated to hit the markets in march after the initial showcase in MWC.
Being Samsung and Sony on the race to MWC with some very astonishing upcoming smartphones in their bucket how Xiaomi is going to stand out is a big question.
Since, Samsung has announced to be launching Galaxy S9 & S9+ it is going to be a little difficult for not just Xiaomi but other companies as well to meet the expectations.
